FT1 and FT2 are specific types of flame testing. This test measures the burning rate of samples positioned either horizontally or vertically.

In case of FT1 Flame Test Cables are subjected to a 15 second duration of a 3,000 BTU/hour flame five times.

In case of FT2 Flame Test
Cables are subjected to a 1,700 BTU/hour flame applied for 30 seconds.
