Digital Power Factor Regulator is a device to measure and regulate power Factor. Power factor measures how efficiently electrical power is converted into useful work output. It measures the efficiency of any electrical device and has values ranging from 0 to 1. Value 1 is maximum efficiency and less than 0.95 is a bad power factor. Basically, it is a ratio between the true power and total power consumed by electrical equipment.
